Identify, evaluate and control the risks

This year the theme of the seminar is, ‘Electrical Engineering Safety – Identify, evaluate and control the risks’. A systematic approach is required to identify, evaluate and control the risks associated with the use of electricity and with the operation of electrical plant and installations at mines to ensure the safety of workers.

Learn from industry leaders

The seminar will feature a line-up of recognised and respected speakers from industry and government, presenting on a range of topics that are relevant to all mining sectors, including coal, metalliferous, extractives and petroleum.

The key note speaker is Dave Whitfield. Dave helps organisations improve their safety performance through enhanced connection and engagement, specifically focusing on leadership and culture. He has more than 22 years of experience in the safety industry. Dave describes his approach as human focused safety.

The seminar will provide opportunities for professional networking, collaboration, discussion and debate.
