19th June 2017

The Department of Planning & Environment, Division of Resources and Geoscience has developed a Resources Customer Portal (the portal) to simplify the title application process by providing the information and support you need in a single place.

This will ultimately improve visibility of how your applications are managed between your organisation and the Division, and ensure a better end-to-end customer experience.

From July 2017, the following services will be available to you via the portal:

  • Application for an exploration licence (EL1).
  • Application to renew an exploration licence (EL5).
  • Notice to withdraw an application or objection (AD13).

Additional functionality and services will be made available to the portal by the Department over time.

What will not change:

  • Existing methods of lodgement through paper applications will still be available.
  • Existing payment methods (credit card, direct deposit, cheque or cash) will still be available.

What will change:

  • As of July 2017, online applications may only be lodged through the Resources Customer Portal, rather than by MinView.
  • Incomplete MinView applications will need to be finalised and submitted by 30 June 2017.
  • A surcharge will apply for all credit card payments from July 2017, in accordance with NSW Government policy.
