The Mining Act provides mechanisms for the suspension of mining operations under an authorisation, or suspension of specific conditions of an authorisation, with the written consent of the Minister (or an authorised delegate).

Titleholders are reminded that such suspensions are only authorised under the Mining Act after you have received written consent from the decision maker and may only occur in accordance with that written consent.

Submitting an application for suspension to the Department does not authorise suspension of mining operations or conditions of your authorisation. If you suspend your mining operations, or proceed on the basis that conditions of your authorisation have been suspended, without written consent, you may be in breach of the conditions of your authorisation and/or the Mining Act.

For questions relating to your application please contact titles.services@industry.nsw.gov.au or phone 02 4931 6500 between 8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday.
